Type AChemical Protection Suit
1 This suit to be gas tight. The suit to provide protection against normal hazardous chemicals and against all types of biological and warfare gases (CW agents)
2 The suit will be fully encapsulating type 1/level A gas tight suit covering both the wearer and the breathing apparatus.
3 It should have an inbuilt breathing apparatus run on rechargeable batteries. It should work continuously for minimum 3 hrs.
4 The suit also to have extra connection for supplementary air and ventilation.
5 The suit to be made up of Polyamide Fabric Tyocham TK or equivalent. The material will be high visibility fluorescent color.
6 The zip should be heavy duty Gas Tight Zip Closing for easy wearing. It should be surrounded by double outer storm flaps with a Velcro Closer.
7 All seems to be sealed both from inside and outside.
8 The gloves to be lined gloves (outer Gloves with inner lining compatible with the suit material, with outer layer of Neoprene for extra protection. The gloves to be fitted by means locking cuff mechanism, 2 Spare Pairs of Gloves shall be supplied with each suit.
9 The boots to be permanently sealed to the suit. The boot to be highly chemically resistant “HAZMAX” safety boots with steel toecap and mid sole. The main features of boots to include. a) 200 Joule Steel Toecap. b) Cleated Slip Resistant Sole. c) Injection molded seamless construction. d) Non absorbent polyester lining. e) Kick off lug for easy removal. f) Energy absorbing ‘Tunnel System’. g) Stainless steel midsole. h) Cleated, Oil Resistant Rubber outsole for superior grip. i) Hydro exothermic insole for maximum wearer comfort. j) Antistatic.
10 The visor to be double glazed permitting clear undistorted vision that will withstand chemical permeation for the substances listed in the European standard EN464:1994 for more than 480 minutes : the mechanical strength of the visor to conform to EN146:1991. The visor to be chemical and impact resistant. The visor to provide a wide view of vision.
